VPN connection problems usually come down to a small handful of causes: an expired or incorrect password, a firewall or antivirus program blocking the connection, or an unstable home internet connection. Working through these in order saves time compared to guessing.

First, confirm your username and password are correct and that your account hasn't been locked out after repeated failed attempts. Next, check whether your home router or a security program on your PC might be blocking the VPN's connection type — some public and hotel WiFi networks block VPN traffic entirely.
